After receiving a barrage of punches, Divine collapsed flat on the bare ground. As she wept profusely, a male staff member eventually stepped in to lift her off the floor.

In a display of academic tyranny, videos have emerged exposing how top officials of Coal City University, Enugu State allegedly brutally assaulted and subsequently framed a 23-year-old female student for refusing to attend classes though lecturers have been on strike since January due to unpaid salaries.

SaharaReporters gathered that the victim, identified as Miss Divine, a 300-level Physiotherapy student of the private institution, was subjected to a public beating by the school's female hostel manager, another official identified as a Catholic reverend sister and the chief security officer.

Instead of receiving medical care and an apology, the traumatised student was handed a one-year suspension by the university management, while the whistleblowing students who recorded the barbaric incident on video were slammed with a six-month suspension.

Some video clips obtained by SaharaReporters on Friday captured the female hostel manager aggressively grabbing Miss Divine by her hair at the front of the premises located at Thinkers Corner, Enugu. The manager is seen punching the 23-year-old student relentlessly, treating her like a common criminal.
