MANILA, Philippines — There is a low chance of rains across the country over the weekend due to the prevailing easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.

In its weather bulletin, Pagasa said that only localized thunderstorms will be experienced, brought by cloud clusters in some areas.

“The only weather systems affecting the country are the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. This means, from Metro Manila up to the whole country, there is a low chance of rains that may cause widespread flooding,” weather specialist John Manalo said.
