The intern at a software company said he escaped Tuesday’s rain mayhem as he was in the office in the evening.The rain with thunder and lightning covered vast swathes of the city from Patancheru in the west to Ameerpet and Begumpet in central Hyderabad.The India Meteorological Department in Hyderabad issued a nowcast alert at 9.30 p.m. warning of rain and moderate thunderstorms with maximum gusty winds and speed upto 60 kmph in Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, Warangal and Rangareddy districts.Unlike Tuesday’s rain that disrupted traffic and city life in a major way in the western part of the city, Friday’s rain had minimal impact.
