Two persons robbed a 61-year-old woman of her jewellery and a mobile phone on a running train near Attur railway station on Thursday evening.According to police, P. Perma, a resident of Thanjavur district, was returning home from Bengaluru on Thursday after visiting her daughter. When the train, the Bengaluru-Karaikkal passenger, reached Attur railway station, her co-passengers got down, leaving her alone on the compartment.When the train pulled away from the station, two persons threatened her and robbed her of four sovereigns, including earrings, a chain and bangles, and a mobile phone.When the train neared the Thalaivasal railway station, robbers jumped from the running train and fled.
