The Erode district administration has invited applications from eligible landholders for removal of restrictions attached to conditional pattas issued in villages under Anthiyur taluk between the 1950s and 1960s.In a release, District Collector S. Kandasamy said the government had issued guidelines for deleting the “conditional patta” entry from the ‘A’ Register and computerised Chitta records relating to lands assigned to Scheduled Caste beneficiaries and others. Based on applications received earlier, restrictions have been removed for 293 beneficiaries.Eligible patta holders have been asked to submit applications along with the original land assignment order, registered documents, patta, chitta, encumbrance certificate and other supporting records at the Revenue Grievance Redressal meetings to be held at the Anthiyur Taluk Office on June 17, 18, 19 and 23.Applications may also be submitted on other working days through the respective Village Administrative Officers. The Tahsildar (Social Security Scheme-Anthiyur), has been designated the nodal officer for receiving applications, and the Headquarters Deputy Tahsildar will coordinate the exercise.
