In view of the annual car festival at Arulmigu Gurunathaswamy Temple at Majra A. Pudupalayam in Gettisamudram village, Anthiyur, scheduled from August 13 to 16, the district administration has announced diversions for heavy vehicles.
According to a release, temporary shops, stalls, and a cattle and horse exhibition will be set up along the Anthiyur–Bargur main road during the festival. Around one lakh devotees from within and outside the State are expected to attend each day. Temporary parking facilities for two-wheelers and four-wheelers have been arranged near the temple.
