Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has ordered the resumption of Lebanese exports to the kingdom after a ban lasting nearly five years.
The lifting of the ban follows positive steps by Lebanon's government towards rebuilding state institutions and providing required commitments.
Riyadh suspended Lebanese fruit and vegetable imports in 2021 over drug smuggling concerns, after repeatedly intercepting shipments containing hidden Captagon.
Saudi Arabia sees an opportunity following Hezbollah's significant weakening after its conflict with Israel, which killed more than 3,600 people and displaced one million Lebanese.
