MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) will see whether there is basis to file criminal charges in connection with the drowning of two members of the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) men’s basketball team while in a team-building activity in Aurora province.
In a statement on Wednesday, the DOJ said it has instructed the National Bureau of Investigation to form a task force that would look into the June 8 incident.

The DOJ promised to be “thorough, comprehensive and impartial” in the probe, which was announced a day after the Aurora provincial police ruled out foul play and called the drowning “purely an accident.”FEATURED STORIES
