With the World Cup imminent, police say they’ve established numerous “no-drone zones” for FIFA-associated areas such as Toronto stadium, the Fan Fest and team practice sites over the next few weeks.
Toronto police spokesperson Stephanie Sayer said that “unauthorized drones will not be permitted in restricted airspace” near the World Cup-related areas. Areas such as Downsview Park, Centennial Park and Fort York, where the FIFA Fan Fest is being held, are designated as no-fly zones.
