Newcastle United has completed the signing of goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims for approximately £24 million, making the 20-year-old Frenchman the club’s first acquisition of the summer 2026 transfer window.
Jaouen underwent a medical ahead of finalizing the move from the Ligue 2 side to the Premier League. The fee represents a significant premium over his Transfermarkt valuation of €12 million.
Who is Ewen Jaouen?
Born on December 29, 2005, Jaouen developed through the Reims youth and reserve team system before testing himself on loan. He spent time at both Rodez AF and USL Dunkerque before returning to Reims.
He has represented France at the U21 level.
