Strengthening maritime cooperation between Greece and Norway, as well as addressing the challenges facing the global shipping industry, dominated discussions held during Posidonia 2026.According to a social media post by Dimitris Monioudis, Chairman of INTERCARGO’s Technical Committee, the roundtable discussion entitled “Securing the Global Fleet: A Norway-Greece Dialogue” highlighted the need for closer collaboration to address the shipping sector’s evolving challenges.Discussions focused on issues including cybersecurity, energy security and financial resilience, as well as decarbonisation, innovation and measures to strengthen the resilience of the global fleet.Participants also underscored the importance of adopting realistic policy frameworks and promoting broader engagement among governments, regulatory authorities and international organizations to ensure the sustainable development of the maritime industry and the effective management of future challenges.
