Olympiacos have locked down their first signing of the summer transfer window. Pablo Maffeo, the 28-year-old Spanish right-back, has completed a deal to leave RCD Mallorca and join the Greek Super League side in a transfer worth approximately €3 million.

The agreement includes a base fee of €2.7 million plus add-ons, with Maffeo set to sign a three-year contract that includes an option for a fourth season. He’s expected to travel to Greece on June 17 to finalize the formalities.

What Olympiacos are getting

Maffeo brings a resume that reads like a solid La Liga veteran’s highlight reel. He’s racked up over 100 appearances for Mallorca since joining the club in 2022, establishing himself as a reliable presence on the right side of defense in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Born on July 12, 1997, Maffeo is entering what should be the prime years of his career at 28. For a fee that barely registers on the radar of most top-flight transfers, Olympiacos are getting a player with years of experience competing against some of the best attackers in world football.
