Coachtopia and Depop on Tuesday revealed the launch of the official Coachtopia shop on Depop. And to celebrate, the two are hosting a two-day consumer pop-up called “Bag Bazaar” at 45 Grand Street in SoHo.
“Coachtopia and Depop felt naturally aligned because both understand how much individuality and unique personal style matter to this generation of consumers,” said Jen Yue, senior vice president of strategy and consumer insights at Coach. “We loved the idea of creating a space where the thrill of discovering something unexpected meets the quality and craftsmanship that define Coach.”
The online shop will feature a range of Coachtopia bags, including Alter/Ego, the first Coachtopia bags that were restored alongside vintage Y2K Coach styles.
As a gift with purchase at the SoHo pop-up, shoppers can create a bag charm using leftover materials — in collaboration with Depop seller Juliana NYC. The “Bag Bazaar” will also feature a series of activations with customization and personal style at the forefront, accompanied by a closet sale on Saturday hosted by Iris Law. Consumers can also trade in eligible Coach and Coachtopia products for Coach store credit.
The in-person experience will feature booths that mirror the Coachtopia Alter/Ego bags, which showcase a selection in the circularity product journey. Attendees will experience aura readings by Synergy Life, a patchwork installation from Yoonie Kim, a digital try-on mirror experience by DressX, desserts from the viral Dotcakes and music from DJ L3Ni.
