With just days until the World Cup comes to their doorstep, residents living near Toronto’s tournament sites are still facing uncertainty about how they’ll be able to get around.
Some people living in Liberty Village and Fort York, close to the venues for the city’s six matches and its Fan Festival, said Tuesday they had yet to receive the special passes from the municipality that will allow them access to their neighbourhoods during the tournament. Drivers who don’t display the permits could be turned away.
