Residents of the Precious Seed area of Oworonshoki in Lagos State have accused individuals reportedly linked to the palace of the traditional ruler of the community of carrying out fresh attacks and setting properties ablaze as the demolition crisis in the area escalates.
The affected residents, who spoke in distressing tones, said their means of livelihood and homes were being destroyed despite earlier losses suffered during the demolition exercise.

“You want to burn my goods that I’m selling after I paid you? Did I collect money from the palace? We will park the goods but you have to be patient. You have already collected my house from me. Why don’t you want me to live well too? You are disturbing my source of livelihood,” the resident said.
