The CB-CID police investigating the murder of Scheduled Caste techie C. Kavin Selvaganesh by an intermediate caste youth have filed the charge-sheet in the case.Kavin of Arumugamangalam near Eral in Thoothukudi district was murdered on July 27 last year. The police subsequently arrested intermediate caste youth S. Surjith of KTC Nagar in Palayamkottai as the deceased was allegedly in a relationship with the sister of the accused.The police also arrested Surjith’s father K. Saravanan, a Sub-Inspector of Police, cousin K. Jayapaul and mother S. Krishnakumari, also an SI, for allegedly having knowledge about the crime.After the case was transferred to the CB-CID police, the investigators filed the 612-page charge-sheet in the Special Court for SC/ST Cases on Tuesday.
