Apple’s shares dipped around 2 percent as as the company gave the latest updates to its AI strategy on Monday, including its plans for the Siri digital assistant, in chief executive Tim Cook’s last World Wide Developer Conference before he is set to retire in September.
The company’s shares had risen over the past three weeks ahead of the expected announcements, but Monday’s sag erased those gains as investors indicated they weren’t impressed.
“I truly believe the best is still ahead,” said Cook in a message at the end of his keynote video, touting that his company is devoted to “creating the best products in the world”.
