Education graduate Phaphama Ngalimani says he would choose carpentry over teaching.
In a pivot from academia to entrepreneurship, Phaphama Ngalimani, 28, a recent Education graduate, says he would reject a teaching position if offered one today.
From Tlokeng, formerly known as Mount Fletcher in the Eastern Cape, Ngalimani now lives in Kraaifontein, Cape Town.
A graducate from the Cape Peninsula Univeristy of Technology (CPUT), Ngalimani became a father to a baby girl in 2022 while still studying and started doing carpentry work to be able to support his child.
He says he no longer sees himself returning to the classroom.
