Crime Intel. Head, Maj-Gen. Feroz Khan, had asked the Johannesburg High Court to stop the police from accessing his seized devices, warning this could expose undercover operatives.
THE testimony of Major General Feroz Khan, the deputy head of Crime Intelligence and head of Counter and Security Intelligence, is expected to be central to investigations regarding allegations against SAPS officers.
The Madlanga Commission on Monday confirmed it had issued a notice directing Khan to appear and testify on July 1.
The Commission has reserved several days for Khan's testimony and says he will remain before the inquiry for as long as necessary until excused by Chairperson Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga.
The development comes after Khan dramatically withdrew urgent court applications aimed at preventing the Commission and police from accessing electronic devices seized from him on May 10.
