Lieutenant Colonel Nkoana Joseph Sebola, of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, testified at the Madlanga inquiry on 8 June.

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has confirmed that Major-General Feroz Khan will testify on 1 July 2026. His testimony is central to investigations regarding allegations against SAPS officers.

Following a Regulation 10(6) notice issued by the Commission to access devices seized from Khan on 10 May, Khan filed an urgent court application on 3 June to block this access. He subsequently sought to have proceedings heard in camera and to restrict public access to affidavits.

However, following a case management meeting before Acting Deputy Judge President Justice Lebogang Modiba today, Khan has withdrawn both urgent applications.

Meanwhile, yesterday Khan, the deputy head of Crime Intelligence and head of Counter and Security Intelligence, and Major General Ebrahim Kadwa, the Gauteng Provincial Head of the Hawks, were accused of interfering in the investigation related to the 2021 Aeroton drug bust in Gauteng.
