Donald Trump renewed his criticisms of Los Angeles' mayoral primary election in a midday Truth Social post on Monday. 'Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoffs after the big lead he had. 3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections!' Trump wrote.'Now they’ll be working on great guy Steve Hilton. Won’t have results for, possibly, TWO WEEKS, according to officials. President DJT.' As of early Monday afternoon, Los Angeles County online results showed Pratt in third place, trailing incumbent Karen Bass by eight percentage points and city councilmember Nithya Raman by less than half a point. Pratt had held a lead over Raman from Election Day until last night. Only the top two candidates will advance to the general election.Trump has voiced his suspicions several times, including in a Truth Social post on Sunday night. 'Has anybody been watching the CROOKED Election going on in California,' the President wrote. 'Two great Republican Candidates are being cheated, and so is America, which if the Dumocrats are able to fulfill their mission, great trouble and consternation will follow. Watch this “Election” closely!!!' 'They're not the only ones who know where to find votes.' The race remains too close to call, but Raman has made substantial gains with mail-in ballots and is widely expected to advance past Pratt and face Bass in the general election. Sunday was the second consecutive day that Raman added more votes to her tally than either Bass or Pratt. Generally, more Democrats cast mail-in ballots than Republicans. A States United Action analysis found that one in four registered Democrats voted by mail in 2024, compared to only one in five registered Republicans. Bass retains her lead over the two challengers with 34.7 percent of the vote
