[Christos Mourgelas/Athens Irish Festival]

Bigger, greener and merrier, the Athens Irish Festival returns for a fifth year, with three days of live traditional music by Irish and local artists, dance and language workshops, literature, poetry, themed food and drink, storytelling and art and craft stalls all inspired by Irish culture at the Foinikas open amphitheater in Peristeri (Kipoupoli, Peristeri). Among the 12 visiting Irish performers are Aidan Connolly (fiddle), Cliodhna Ni Bheaglaoich (fiddle), Niall O Beaglaoich (accordion) and Padraig Mac Aodhgain (concertina), who will be joined by six local Irish-themed acts including Noriana, Curfa and Solastas.
