The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly has been petitioned to look into the state Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and prosecution of Alhaji Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi for alleged murder in the Ajiran community crisis.

The group protested from the Ikeja Shopping Mall to the State House of Assembly to deliver the letter.
In a letter dated July 7, 2026, and signed by Emmanuel Kolawole, the group stated that Ajiran Community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area has for years been affected by disputes over community land and the distribution of proceeds from such lands.
