Obazee made the announcement on Monday via his Facebook account after what he described as a successful registration into the party, stating that his decision was driven by political conviction and what he termed “deep injustice” in Edo State.

An Edo State-born, United Kingdom-based media critic, Albert Obazee, has announced that he has officially joined the African Action Congress (AAC), declaring his full support for the party’s presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, whom he says he believes in because of “his struggle, his ideology, and his vision to liberate Nigeria.”

Obazee made the announcement on Monday via his Facebook account after what he described as a successful registration into the party, stating that his decision was driven by political conviction and what he termed “deep injustice” in Edo State.

In his post, Obazee, who identified as an indigene of Edo State, alleged electoral manipulation in the 2024 governorship election, claiming that the will of the people was subverted.

He also criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu, accusing the federal system and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of enabling what he described as injustice in his state.
