The savings provider has issued a statement outlining key information about a bonus payments scheme that begins being paid out in two days.Millions of Nationwide members will receive a £100 payment as part of the Fairer Share scheme imminently. The building society revealed in May that there would be a fourth instalment of the bonus payment. This is the fourth year running that Nationwide members have received the £100 bonus. This bonus initiative sees the mutual distribute its profits amongst loyal customers.Over four million people are expected to receive the £100 into their account this year. To be eligible, you must hold a current account alongside either a mortgage or savings account with the provider, and you must have had specific account activity in recent months.State Pensioners to face major tax changeNationwide has been notifying those who qualify to inform them the £100 payment will be arriving.No notification receivedHowever, one customer contacted Nationwide after hearing nothing about their situation. Posting on social media, they enquired: "How will someone know if they will receive the £100 Fairer Share please?"I was hoping to receive one this year but I haven't received any notification." Nationwide replied to clarify that it has been contacting "all eligible members" from May 21.They also offered some guidance on how customers can verify their own eligibility. Nationwide stated: "If you would like to check your eligibility, you can: use the chat service in the Nationwide banking app or internet bank."The building society directed the customer towards two further options: either using the eligibility checker on the Nationwide website or reading through the full terms and conditions, also available on the organisation's website.The eligibility checker simply requires you to select an answer from a series of multiple-choice questions. Once all questions have been answered, it will confirm whether you qualify or not, based on the responses you have provided.Nationwide clarifies when and where it will issue the paymentsHowever, the customer said they had already attempted to verify their eligibility, but this had failed to resolve the matter.
