The update came after the account holder submitted a question regarding their online account.‌Taking to social media, the customer said they had recently applied for a FlexAccount, one of the current accounts offered by Nationwide. They wrote: "It was approved and account was opened but I can't see it on my app. I am an existing customer and I'm really concerned. Please help." Nationwide replied to outline the standard procedure when opening an additional account of this type.‌The building society responded: "New accounts can take up to five working days to appear alongside your existing accounts online. If it has been longer than this, please give us a call on 03457 302011, so we can look into this further for you."‌State Pensioners to face major tax changeThe customer replied to clarify they had only opened the account that morning. They said they would wait to see whether their online account was subsequently updated.Now could be the prime time to consider switching your current account to Nationwide, as there is some bonus cash up for grabs.‌Bonus payments on offerThe mutual has unveiled a switching incentive, offering £175 to those who move from a non-Nationwide provider to a new or existing FlexDirect, FlexAccount or FlexPlus account. Customers must complete a full switch via the Current Account Switch Service, which includes shutting down your old account.Customers are required to complete the switch within 28 days. Another condition to claim the offer is that you must deposit at least £1,000 and make one debit card payment from the newly switched-to account.This must be completed within 31 days of either opening your new account or applying to switch to an existing account. Once all the necessary steps have been fulfilled, Nationwide will deposit £175 into the account you have switched to.Article continues belowThe sum will be credited to the account within 10 days of completing all the required steps. Your account must remain open at the time the payment is made. The payment will appear on your statement as 'Switching Offer'.Nationwide has also informed members it will be paying a £100 bonus to over four million people this year, through its Fairer Share scheme.
