It's worth checking over the rules as there are several ways you can qualify for the bonus.Over four million members are expected to receive this year's Fairer Share payment. This is the annual event where Nationwide distributes some bonus cash to its customers as a share of its profits. The forthcoming payment marks the fourth consecutive year the mutual has handed out the extra funds to its loyal members. A £100 payment was made in each of the previous three years, with another round of bonus cash now on the way.Payments will be sent to eligible customers between June 10 and 30. However, one customer raised concerns with Nationwide that they might miss out on the bonuses this year.Customer questionTaking to social media, they wrote: "Neither me nor my wife have had emails regarding Fairer Share payment this year. We've had it every year and all our accounts remain the same.State Pensioners to face major tax change"Is there any reason we may not have it this year or any way you can check?" The terms and conditions set out that if you hold a joint account with Nationwide, both account holders are considered individual Nationwide members and will each receive the £100 payment separately.This means the couple could have accumulated £600 in bonus cash through the scheme so far. They also stand to miss out on £200 between them this year if they fail to meet the qualifying criteria.Much like last year's payment, you'll need a current account with Nationwide along with either a savings account or a mortgage with the mutual. But if you would like to check, you can."The building society also directed the customer on how to verify their eligibility.
