The Christian Association of Nigeria, South-West Region, has decried the rising wave of insecurity across parts of the country in recent times, calling on governments and other stakeholders to take decisive action.
The group also called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency on insecurity in the country.
This was contained in a statement issued by the CAN Chairman in the South-West, Bishop Barnabas Akin-Akinsanya, and made available to our correspondent in Akure, Ondo State, on Sunday.
“The Federal Government should immediately review and strengthen the nation’s security architecture and ensure that all security agencies are adequately equipped with modern surveillance technology, drones, intelligence systems, communication gadgets, and rapid-response capabilities necessary for effective contemporary security operations.
