Residents have voiced concern over a new guesthouse in Fresnaye.
Residents in Fresnaye have expressed growing concern regarding the development of a boutique guesthouse, which was advertised by the City last month for objections.
The residents say the property in question relates to a boutique guesthouse development, with development planner Tommy Brümmer acting on behalf of Buchu Collection (Pty) Ltd, which also applied to the City of Cape Town to consolidate three erven in Fresnaye.
The three erven, located at 22 Avenue St Huguenots and 23 and 25 Avenue Fresnaye, are currently zoned Residential 1: Conventional Housing.
Deputy mayor and mayco member for spatial planning and development, Eddie Andrews, said that following the objection process, the matter will be referred to the Municipal Planning Tribunal for a decision.
