HYDERABADBhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday slammed Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, questioning his claims and asking him to clarify his stance on key issues concerning Telangana. In a statement, he also sought clarity on the Centre’s support for Metro Rail Phase 2 and the Musi river rejuvenation project, stating that Mr. Kishan Reddy was answerable to the people of Telangana.Reacting to the Union Minister’s remarks that no one had the courage to stop him from working for Telangana, Mr. Chamala Kiran Reddy asked, “Who is stopping you if you are doing something for the State?” He pointed out that Mr. Kishan Reddy, as a Union Cabinet Minister, had been elected twice by the people of Telangana and should focus on delivering on their expectations.Drawing a comparison, the MP remarked that if the K. Chandrasekhar Rao family had ‘looted Telangana’ for 10 years, the Union Minister should explain what he had done during the same period. The Congress MP also defended Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, stating that he had assumed office with the support of the people. He criticised Mr. Kishan Reddy’s tenure as BJP State president, alleging that he indulged in ‘match-fixing politics’.
