Congress Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy launched a sharp attack on senior BRS leader and MLA T. Harish Rao, accusing him of misleading the people of Telangana against the government.
Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, he alleged that IAS officers were threatened during the previous BRS regime and questionable government orders were issued late at night.
Mr. Reddy said several promises made in 2014 and 2018, including loan waivers, KG-PG education, 2 BHK houses, and making a Dalit Chief Minister were not implemented. He questioned why the proposed Koheda fruit market, for which Congress had allotted 178 acres before 2014, was never developed.
He also criticised the BJP, alleging leaders like Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar were echoing BRS narratives, and questioned another Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for “remaining silent” despite allegations of Telangana “being looted by BRS regime for 10 years”. He demanded an apology from BRS to the people for what he termed as “poor governance”.
