NLC India Limited (NLCIL) observed the World Environment Day by launching mass sapling planting drives and undertaking a pledge to protect the natural resources, environment and biodiversity. The theme of the celebration was ‘’Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future”.The leadership team of the company led by Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of the NLCIL marked the occasion by launching a mass sapling planting drive at the NLCIL Airport premises. More than 150 tree saplings were planted during the event. A plantation drive was also held at the Modern Sewage Treatment Plant (MSTP).A walkathon to create awareness about climate change and its effects was also organised. In addition, an LED vehicle showcasing NLCIL’s efforts toward combating climate change, carbon abatement, and sustainable mining practices was part of the event. An awareness drive on water conservation and daily sustainable practices in villages in and around Neyveli was also organised on this occasion.NLCIL functional Directors Rajesh Pratap Singh Sisodia, Suresh Chandra Soman and B.
