MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has urged government agencies to make it easier for Indian students to pursue medicine in the Philippines, a leading choice for foreign medical education.

In a June 3 meeting at her Manila office, the First Lady discussed student concerns with Indian Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain and representatives from various government agencies.

“We discussed practical solutions to improve visa processing, reduce unnecessary burdens on students and other professionals, and strengthen coordination between schools and government agencies,” she said in a Facebook post on Friday.
