Simone Biles said that she was recently in a scary health situation and is currently recovering.The gymnastics superstar posted a photo of her arm with three hospital wristbands to Instagram stories on Saturday, June 6, sharing the news with her fans that she experienced "almost dying.""I'm not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today's age," Biles wrote on the photo. "but almost dying wasn't on my bingo card earlier this week"The seven-time Olympic gold medalist explained that when the incident happened, her husband, NFL safety Jonathan Owens, was at training camp with his new team, the Indianapolis Colts.Biles and Owens live in a home they custom-built in Spring, Texas. The gymnast hails from the town, which is a suburb of Houston. Owens previously played for the Houston Texans from 2019-2022 before spending time with the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears."This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life. especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices," she said.She continued by saying that she has "been in bed resting this week" and added that she will "explain sooner or later" what happened.She also posted another photo of herself in bed with her two dogs, saying, "i'll be here."Biles won four medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including three gold. It was her grand return after experiencing the "twisties," a gymnastics term for feeling disoriented while performing, and withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She has since become an advocate for mental health awareness.
