“If everything could be straightened out with Iran, they get a true agreement, Strait of Hormuz open, gas prices go down, Democrats have nothing to run on,” Concha said on Fox Business’s The Evening Edit on Friday.Concha praised economic wins under the Trump Administration, like job market growth and low unemployment rates, which were detailed in the May jobs report released Friday.
Trump spoke at the American Agriculture Roundtable in Wisconsin on Friday, where he said the job numbers “smashed all expectations” and they are “the strongest job numbers of the entire admin so far, and that’s during this conflict on top of it.”
The war in Iran is driving up gas and oil prices in the United States. Trump has said that a deal will be coming soon.
“Frankly, I thought it would go much higher than it did,” Trump said about gas prices. The average price of gas on Friday dropped 17 cents from the previous week.
Concha argued that the job numbers and economic boom are going to make it hard for Democrats to go up against Republicans in the midterm elections.
