Springbok flyer Sebastiaan Jobb scored both of his team's tries in the 14-12 Cup quarter-final victory against Fiji at the Bordeaux Sevens on Saturday that sealed the World Championship title.

The Blitzboks were crowned HSBC SVNS World Champions for a second successive season on Saturday after a dramatic day in Bordeaux that showcased the resilience, composure and fighting spirit that have defined their remarkable campaign.

South Africa's 14-12 quarter-final victory over Fiji sealed the title after their closest challengers, Argentina and Australia, both failed to reach the semi-finals. The triumph adds the World Championship crown to the SVNS Series title already secured earlier this season and underlines the Blitzboks' status as the dominant force in world sevens rugby.

The achievement echoed last year's success in Los Angeles, where the world title was decided in a winner-takes-all tournament. This time, however, the road to glory was far more dramatic.
