A former Minister of Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, has delivered a sweeping indictment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, accusing the federal government of completely lacking the political will to end the ravaging insecurity across Nigeria.

Speaking on Arise Television, Dalung, who served under the late President Muhammadu Buhari, argued that the current government is dangerously preoccupied with the upcoming 2027 general elections while terrorists continue to kidnap and kill Nigerians daily.

He further alleged that the administration's inner workings are heavily compromised by the interference of political cabals.

Central to Dalung's critique is the stark disparity between the government's swift crackdown on dissenting voices and its apparent helplessness in the face of violent extremism.
