Tinubu praised members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies, describing them as a shield between innocent citizens and those seeking to undermine peace and security.
President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to actively support security agencies by reporting terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements, insisting that violent groups would not be allowed to define the country's identity or future.
The President made the remarks in a statement he personally issued on Monday, June 8, 2026, commending frontline security personnel for their efforts in combating terrorism and other forms of insecurity across the country.
Tinubu praised members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies, describing them as a shield between innocent citizens and those seeking to undermine peace and security.
“I commend all our patriotic front-line soldiers in the fight against terrorism in all forms. You stand as a shield between innocent citizens and those who seek to destroy the peace, safety, and dignity of our communities,” he said.
