LEGAZPI CITY — Soldiers recovered components believed to be used in the assembly of anti-personnel mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Cawayan town, Masbate, a military official said Friday.
Troops from the 2nd Infantry Battalion seized 17 digital remote controls, two antennas with signal boosters, two handheld radios, six firing devices, nine blasting caps, three 9-volt batteries, a pack of ammonium nitrate, and a dextrose hose in Barangay Calapayan on June 3, according to Col. Angel Lutera, commander of the 903rd Infantry Brigade.
