COTABATO CITY – Three high-powered firearms were recovered following separate clashes on Friday, June 5, between government forces and Dawlah Islamiya Hassan Group (DI-HG) in Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur.
The Army-led operation was part of the more than a month of effort to track down armed extremists responsible for attacks against police and military personnel, as well as the killing of a Teduray tribal leader.

The operations were carried out by joint elements of the 38th Infantry Battalion (38IB), 64th Division Reconnaissance Company, 34th Infantry Battalion, 90th Infantry Battalion, 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion, and other units under the 601st Infantry Brigade commanded by Brig. Gen. Edgar L. Catu.
