Residents of Ward 13 of Dindigul Corporation on Friday staged a road blockade in front of the Dindigul Head Post Office urging the authorities to resolve the drinking water crisis.The residents staged a road blockade carrying empty pots. They complained that there was a water shortage for the past three months. Despite repeated complaints no action was taken, they said.Traffic in the area was disrupted due to the road blockade. On receiving information, police and Corporation officials rushed to the spot and held talks with the protesting residents.Officials told the residents that pipeline repair work was under way and that the drinking water supply would be restored to normal.
