Sam Amadi, former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, has predicted that the 2027 presidential election will likely be won by either the ruling All Progressives Congress or the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

Amadi made the assertion in a series of posts on X, where he dismissed the prospects of the African Democratic Congress emerging victorious in the next presidential contest.

According to him, the political landscape is increasingly shaping into a contest between the incumbent ruling party and the opposition platform led by former Anambra State governor and NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

“In my view, only two parties can win: the ruling party or the one with Peter Obi; the ruling party and the alternative. So far, ADC is a mini-APC,” Amadi wrote.

He further suggested that legal challenges could potentially affect the ADC’s participation in the 2027 election, warning party members not to underestimate the impact of litigation on electoral outcomes.
