Residents of some parts of Tondiarpet zone will not receive piped water supply on June 8 and June 9 as the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) will not operate the Patel Nagar distribution station. This is to facilitate interconnection works of the pipeline at the junction of Kathivakkam High Road and J.J. Nagar.A press release said areas such as Ezhil Nagar, MGR Nagar, Bharathi Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Kamarajar Nagar in Tondiarpet zone will not receive piped water supply. The interconnection work will be carried out between 5 p.m. on June 8 and 8 p.m. on June 9.The CMWSSB has requested residents to store drinking water in advance and also book online for tanker water supply.
