Nine cops have been suspended following the R360-million tender, awarded to Matlala's company Medicare24 Tshwane District in 2024,
Nine police officers who served as members of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) in relation to the Medicare 24 tender process have been suspended.
In a statement, SAPS said the affected members have been placed on suspension pending the finalisation of disciplinary and related investigations.
The R360-million tender was awarded to Matlala's company, Medicare24 Tshwane District in 2024.
Allegations suggest Matlala exploited his relationships with senior police officers to protect his business interests and circumvent the rules
