Protest: Seatides parents want clarity on strategies to address bullying, intimidation, and misconduct at school

Concerned parents and community stakeholders of Seatides Combined School staged a protest demanding urgent action on public safety, governance, and financial management, highlighting ongoing issues with bullying and school finances.

One of the organisers of the protest, Kem Barron, handed over a memorandum of demands to a school official.

"We have followed the proper channels for a considerable period of time and our concerns not been adequately addressed. Parents deserve answers, pupils deserve protection, and the community deserves transparency about how the school is being managed,” said Barron.

The memorandum was addressed to the Minister of Basic Education, the District Director, the Acting Principal, and the Chairperson of the School Governing Body (SGB) of Seatides Combined School.
