A person is dead after being shot in Brampton on Thursday evening. Peel police said in a post on X that a person was shot near Sandalwood Parkway West and Crown Victoria Drive.Peel paramedics said they responded to the call at 7:10 p.m. and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect or suspects are longer in the area, police added.A heavy police presence is expected and people are advised to avoid the area, police said.
