A female photographer has accused members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) of physically assaulting her, seizing her camera, demanding N200,000 for its release, and subjecting her to sexual harassment during a protest demanding the rescue of kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday.

The victim made the allegations in an audio testimony shared on X by activist and Chairman of the African Action Congress (AAC) Kayode Babayomi.

In the emotional account, the photographer alleged that she was attacked by individuals she identified as NANS members while carrying out her duties as a photojournalist.

According to her, the incident occurred around the University of Ibadan axis while she and others were heading towards Bodija.
