MANILA, Philippines — Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon has disputed allegations made before the Senate blue ribbon committee that he received any money, saying that no amount of lies can stop the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
In a statement on Thursday, Ridon said that the testimony made by Jowly Cadiao — one of the alleged 18 former Marine officers — are lies because no suitcases of money were delivered to him in whatever time or place.
“Testimonies from Jowly Cadiao are lies. No suitcases were delivered to me at any place and any time,” Ridon said, speaking Filipino.
“Remember: the impeachment trial will push through. No lies or made-up testimonies will stop the House prosecution panel from pushing through with laying the truth in trying the Vice President,” he added in Filipino
