The High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition to compel the Inspector General (IG) of Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to produce a security analyst Mwenda Mbijjiwe who disappeared five years ago.
Following the dismissal of the case, the hopes of Ms Mbijjiwe’s mother Jane Gatwiri were dashed. She cried uncontrollably saying “the High Court was our only bastion of hope, but now it has vanished”.
