Rigathi Gachagua dares the DCI to send officers to his home

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has challenged the Director of Criminal Investigations to send officers to his home if they need him to record a statement over the murder of Dr Victoria Mutiso, a former African Institute of Mental and Brain Health director.

Speaking in Kiambu during the opening of a Democratic Congress Party (DCP), Gachagua insisted that he continues to receive 'credible' information from government officers, vowing to protect their identities

"Kama unasema kuna watu walinipigia simu si ukuje kwangu uandike taarifa," Gachagua said, noting that he was ready to cooperate with investigators but would not present himself at the DCI headquarters or police station.

Gachagua also argued that he has moved beyond the level of ordinary political actors, having served in the country's second-highest office.
